Duties

Co-ordinate University's student recruitment and promotional activities; undertake liaison work with secondary schools and institutions.

Requirements

A good Bachelor's degree; excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; good knowledge about the local school system; experience in organizing events; and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in public relations will also be an advantage.

The appointee is expected to assist the Director of the International Writers Workshop to organize programmes and activities of overseas writers and Writers-in-Residence. The appointee will also be responsible for liaison work, general administrative work and day-to-day office operation.

Applicants should have a good first degree, preferably major in English, Comparative Literature or Translation, and with at least two years of relevant working experience. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua) as well as good PC skills are required. Good interpersonal skills and proven abilities in work organization are essential. The appointee will initially be offered a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.


Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
